In order to curb and arrest roaming fraud certain compliance guidelines have been laid out like the one laid out by BARG (GSMA Billing, Accounting, and Roaming Group).

BARG has made it mandatory for all GSMA Service Providers to follow the Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE) procedure as a first step to combat roaming fraud.
